Alert when a wallet hands control to a contract
With EIP-7702 a regular wallet can hand control to a contract with one signature. From then on, anyone who calls the wallet runs that contract's code. If an attacker gets the signature, their next transaction takes everything. That transaction emits no events, so event monitoring does not see it. SmartAlert reads every block in full and tells you about a delegation on your wallet within seconds.
The rule
This is how the rule looks in the new-alert form. You enter the contract address when you create it.

Where it would have fired
Every rule can be checked on history before you turn it on: you see where it would have fired over the last days.
Where the alert goes
Telegram on every plan; Slack, Discord and webhook on paid plans. A new project gets Pro limits for 14 days, no card needed.
- TelegramFree
- SlackPro
- DiscordPro
- WebhookPro
Works on: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum. · Free plan: up to 3 rules.
How to enable
- 1
Add the wallet under Addresses. Tokens are optional.
- 2
Create a "Wallet handed control to a contract" rule.
- 3
Pick channels: the alert goes to every channel on the rule — Telegram, email, webhook, PagerDuty. Include the Telegram of whoever can sign the removal.
Why it matters
In the Binance hack of October 29, 2026, 3 minutes 24 seconds passed between the hot wallet's delegation and a $2.5B drain, and the delegation stayed in place for almost four more hours. An alert within seconds gives you time to sign the removal before the drain. Full story in the breakdown.
